Connecting The Dots: Gadhafi, Benghazi, Syria, Qatar, Turkey, Russian, and the Ukraine

Today I am going to discuss Libya and why the powers that be decided that Moammar Gadhafi had to go, and tie it to other recent events. It was not, as we were were led to be because he was killing and peaceful demonstrates.  We read lots of headlines like this, “Libya protests: More than 100 killed as army fires on unarmed demonstrator” , but you did not read many like this, “Gaddafi under siege: Two CIA-backed groups, an al-Qaeda-linked LIFG on top of power stakes” from The Asian Tribune, or this “CIA & MI6 in Libya: U.S.-British covert operations exposed”  where it says this:

“The New York Times, the Washington Post and other corporate news sources are now openly admitting that the opposition forces fighting the Libyan government are supported and coordinated by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency and Britain’s MI6 with in-country special forces.”

One more and I will move on, “Are Libyan rebels being led by a CIA plant?” here we read,

Well, the reason was not the way he was treating his people, what was it? It was over Gadhafi dream, he was the last major global leader that was promoted the dream of pan-African unity, and his disappearance from the political stage would remove the last remaining enthusiast for a European-style political union in Africa. His plan to quit selling Libyan oil in U.S. dollars — demanding payment instead in gold-backed “dinars” (a single African currency made from gold) — was the real cause he had to go. For more details go read this: “Gadhafi’s Gold-money Plan Would Have Devastated Dollar”.Have you considered why the US Government is so opposed to dis alowing oil to be sold for anything other than US dollars?  First a little history:

In 1971 Richard Nixon was forced to close the gold window taking the U.S. off the gold standard and setting into motion a massive devaluation of the U.S. dollar. In an effort to prop up the value of the dollar Nixon negotiated a deal with Saudi Arabia that in exchange for arms and protection they would denominate all future oil sales in U.S. dollars. Subsequently, the other OPEC countries agreed to similar deals thus ensuring a global demand for U.S. dollars and allowing the U.S. to export some of its inflation.[2] Since these dollars did not circulate within the country they were not part of the normal money supply, economists felt another term was necessary to describe the dollars received by petroleum exporting countries (OPEC) in exchange for oil, so the term petrodollar was coined by Georgetown University economics professor, Ibrahim Oweiss. [snip] Financial impact In the existing system all transactions actually be settled in U.S. dollars creating a world-wide demand for dollars. The petrodollar system also meant that the U.S., the largest consumer of oil in the world, gained the power to buy oil with a currency it can print at will. Large inflows of petrodollars into a country often has an impact on the value of its currency. For Canada it was shown that an increase of 10% in the price of oil increases the Canadian dollar value versus the US dollar by 3%and vice versa.  From Wikipedia

If Gadhafi had been allowed to sell his oil for gold the status of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency would have been thrown into jeopardy.  What does that mean?  A reserve currency is a currency that is held in significant quantities by governments and institutions as part of their foreign exchange reserves, and that is commonly used in international transactions. People who live in a country that issues a reserve currency can purchase imports and borrow across borders more cheaply than people in other nations because they don’t need to exchange their currency to do so.  It would have meant that if the Dollar had lost its status all of those dollars printed (created) by our government and held in reserve (out of circulation) wold no longer be held out of circulation.  You know what happens when you have to fast of an increase in the money supply don’t you?  Inflation!

The success that Obama had with Gadhafi has led his to him to try and depose Assad in Syria.  The motive is not the protection of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency, but is is still cast in the light of removing a cruel dictator who kills and tortures his own people.  This in spite of  his recent re-elected in the country’s first presidential vote since its civil war broke out three years ago, state-run television reported Wednesday.  Al-Assad received 88.7% of Tuesday’s vote, the state media outlet said, in an election that took place only in areas controlled by the government. Obama  had sent Stevens to Libya to collect up the arms that the US had supplied the so called rebels and transfer then to the so called rebels in Syria as this article indicates in Fox News, “Was Syrian weapons shipment factor in ambassador’s Benghazi visit?”

A mysterious Libyan ship — reportedly carrying weapons and bound for Syrian rebels — may have some link to the Sept. 11 terror attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Fox News has learned. Through shipping records, Fox News has confirmed that the Libyan-flagged vessel Al Entisar, which means “The Victory,” was received in the Turkish port of Iskenderun — 35 miles from the Syrian border — on Sept. 6, just five days before Ambassador Chris Stevens, information management officer Sean Smith and former Navy Seals Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were killed during an extended assault by more than 100 Islamist militants. On the night of Sept. 11, in what would become his last known public meeting, Stevens met with the Turkish Consul General Ali Sait Akin, and escorted him out of the consulate front gate one hour before the assault began at approximately 9:35 p.m. local time.

The flow is an important source of weapons for the uprising and a case of bloody turnabout, as the inheritors of one strongman’s arsenal use them in the fight against another. Evidence gathered in Syria, along with flight-control data and interviews with militia members, smugglers, rebels, analysts and officials in several countries, offers a profile of a complex and active multinational effort, financed largely by Qatar, to transport arms from Libya to Syria’s opposition fighters. Libya’s own former fighters, who sympathize with Syria’s rebels, have been eager collaborators.

Now why do you reckon Qatar is wanting Assad out of power so bad?  Could it be because Qatar is the largest exporter of liquid natural gas in the world and Assad won’t let them build a natural gas pipeline through Syria?  Of course.  Qatar wants to install a puppet regime in Syria that will allow them to build a pipeline which will enable them to sell lots and lots of natural gas to Europe.   Further explained here back in 2009: “Qatar seeks gas pipeline to Turkey”

Other reports in the Turkish press said the two states were exploring the possibility of Qatar supplying gas to the strategic Nabucco pipeline project, which would transport Central Asian and Middle Eastern gas to Europe, bypassing Russia. A Qatar-to-Turkey pipeline might hook up with Nabucco at its proposed starting point in eastern Turkey. Last month, Mr Erdogan and the prime ministers of four European countries signed a transit agreement for Nabucco, clearing the way for a final investment decision next year on the EU-backed project to reduce European dependence on Russian gas.

This explains why the Russia are backing Assad who has refused to let the pipeline be built through Syria.  Why is Obama backing Qatar?  Could it be because of the Al Udeid Air Base which is located in Qatar?

The Al Udeid Air Base is a military base located west of Doha Qatar and is owned by the Qatar Emiri Air Force. It is home to the headquarters of United States Central Command (USCC) and United State Air Force Central Command (USAFCC). The Al Udeid Air Base Qatar is also a home to the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing of the USAF and to the No. 83 Expeditionary Air Group RAF. When the war against Afghanistan was at its peak, there were around 4000 American soldiers who were stationed at this base. Along with the American soldiers were two dozens of KC-10A Extenders and KC-135 Stratotankers which were used for the re-fuelling of bombers and fighter jets over Afghanistan. By September of 2002, the number of American soldiers in the air base went down to approximately 2000 in number. After six months, the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar underwent expansion so that it can accommodate up to 120 aircraft and 10,000 troops

Now back to Russian and to see how the pipeline dream ties into  Ukraine and Russia taking the Crimea. The Ukrainian “orange revolution” lived through one presidential term. Like the rest of the coloured revolutions, it basically amounted to a coup d’état orchestrated by Washington through the manipulation of public opinion.  “Ukraine Geopolitics and the US-NATO Military Agenda”

A look at the map will indicate just how strategic Ukraine is for both NATO and for Russia. Not only does the country directly border Russia to its east, but it also provides the transit route for most Russian natural gas pipelines to western Europe – some 80% of all Russian gas exports from which the country earns dollars, a vital economic lifeline for Russia.

The Ukrainian President has abandoned his offices and is reported to have left the capital Kyiv (Kiev).  All police, including the riot police, have left the streets. The presidential offices are under the control of the Maiden protestors. The jailed opposition leader and former President Yulia Tymoshenko is expected to released from prison on the orders of Parliament. The Speaker of Parliament has resigned citing “ill health” and has been replaced by a pro-opposition MP. A new transitional government is being formed.  Read here:

After the Ukrainian President fled to Russia Putin took the Crimea in order to keep his only deep water port open.  Then he demanded that Ukraine pay its bill for the Natural Gas coming through their pipeline to Europe.  “Russia warns Europe of gas supply cuts over Ukraine debt”

President Vladimir Putin warned European leaders on Thursday Russia would cut natural gas supplies to Ukraine if it did not pay its bills and said this could lead to a reduction of onward deliveries to Europe. In a letter to the leaders of 18 countries, he demanded urgent talks with Europe on pulling Ukraine’s economy out of crisis but made clear his patience was running out over Kiev’s $2.2 billion gas debt to its former Soviet master.

So in response Obama is upping his efforts to remove Assad from power so the Qatar pipeline can be built to Turkey and replace Russian Natural Gas with Qatar Natural Gas.  To pursue this goal “Obama asks Congress for $500 million to train Syrian rebels”.  This in spite of the last group of so called Syrian rebels he trained morphed into ISIA who are in the process of converting  parts of Syria and Iraq into an Islamic Caliphate. “Militant Islamic Group ISIS Trained at U.S. Base in Jordan”

Jordanian officials recently revealed that members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (also known as ISIS) were trained in 2012 by U.S. military instructors at a secret base in Jordan.

ISIS and Oil Prices

 have spetn a little time this morning thinking about oil. Yes, Texas has oil and gas too, but Obama has done all in his power to curtail oil and gas production in America, all of the increases in production have come in spite of him, not because of his policies. However, the oil and gas pumped in Texas sells at world market prices, and the disruption of supplies from Iraq will drive the prices up here, and you could see gas price going to $6-10 per gallon should they get control of the oil fields in Iraq. Rising oil prices will not due to the interruption of Iraqi production, but the disruption of deliveries out of the Mideast. As long as the markets are in surplus we will not notice it much, but when that surplus has to be replaced is when the higher prices will kick in.

The ISIS' breakthrough has allowed it to control the two main pipelines: the one exiting toward Banias to supply Syria while the other transporting crude to the Turkish port of Ceyhan. The Islamic Emirate has interrupted the first, causing additional power outages in Syria, but strangely, it allows the second to function. This is because this pipeline is used by the local pro-Israel Kurdistan government to export the oil it just appropriated from Kirkuk.

The question is, how can they sell this oil without the US allowing it? All income from it would be devoted to world wide jihadism, to sell it they will have to ship it by truck to the black market like Saddam use to do.

The possible division of Iraq into three countries will reshuffle the oil cards. In the face of the ISIS' breakthrough, all oil companies have reduced their staff. Some more than others: this is the case of BP, Royal Deutsch Shell (which employs Sheikh Moaz al-Khatib, the geologist former president of the Syrian National Coalition), Türkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortaklığı (TPAO) and Chinese companies (PetroChina, Sinopec and CNOOC). So the losers are the British, the Turks, and especially the Chinese, who were by far Iraq's largest customer. The winners are the U.S., Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Along these lines, the U.S. State Department recently singled out Russia, who is a backer of Assad, by name, to criticize its law prohibiting homosexual propaganda aimed at youth, but the same State Department refused to comment on Saudi Arabia where homosexual conduct is punishable by death, but has announced that it will significantly increase its production to compensate for the reduced supply due to the marketing ban by ISIS. However, the kingdom has never produced more than 10 million barrels per day. The fact that the ISIS’ is financed by Aramco, the Saudi Arabian national petroleum and natural gas company. is enough to explain why Saudi Arabia claims to be able to compensate for the decline in Iraqi production: the kingdom would just put its stamp on the stolen barrels to legalize them. Saudi Arabian is the source of all the Wahhabi Schools worldwide. The European Parliament has identified the Wahhabi movement as the source of global terrorism.

The reason that they are funding ISIS are both ideological and financial. All the oil they will sell for ISIS they will pocket a commission, and high as 50%. Saudi Arabians are Sunni, and the Shi'a have striped the Sunni of power in Iraq. The Sunni believe that they are the one true expression of Islam and it is their way or the highway, or rather, off with their heads!

I took a lot of this from a varied of sources, and  I agree with the opinions expressed above.  There is ,more to the ISIS emergence than meet the eye.

Our chicken are come home to roost:  The US created ISIS, armed them, and trained them to fight against Assad in Syria. Stevens was in Benghazi overseeing the arms collection and transfer to Turkey that we had given them to overthrow Graffiti, and the arms captured from Graffiti, when he was killed killed. Turkey in turn was giving the arms to Qatar who then gave them to what has become ISIS. Qatar wants to build a pipeline through Syria to ship its natural gas to Turkey, and when Assad said no deal they have paid billions of dollars to instigate and support the so called Syrian Rebels. Obama is supporting Qatar in this endeavor in order, I suspect, to keep his drone bases there in operation.

Obama is being hosted by his on petard.  A petard, for those who do not know, was a small bomb used to blow up gates and walls when breaching fortifications back in the sixteenth century.  The term is used today to means "to be harmed by one's own plan to harm someone else" or "to fall into one's own trap," implying that one could be lifted up (hoist, or blown upward) by one's own bomb.  Fit well doesn't it?

It is not uncommon for Progressives to lie, recast history in a manner more of their liking rather that of what actually happened. For example Harvard educated Michelle Obama speaking at a U.S. naturalization ceremony said, "Founders Not Born In America". Reckon she was she including Obama in that group? In any case, to push the Progressive's goal of open borders, they are not above lying to us, or to mischaracterizes history.

Is she showed how ignorant/stupid she is, or practicing Joseph Goebbels advice, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Not only didn’t her Harvard and Princeton educations teach her how to feed her children, they apparently didn’t teach her much about American history: “It’s amazing that just a few feet from here where I’m standing are the signatures of the 56 Founders who put their names on a Declaration that changed the course of history,” she said during her speech, referring to the Declaration of Independence. “And like the 50 of you, none of them were born American – they became American.”

I’m trying to grasp the meaning of her comments. Is she saying that the founders weren’t born Americans because there was no United States of America in 1776? This can’t be the case since the Declaration of Independence states, “The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America.” America did not begin with the Declaration. If it did, it would exclude anybody born prior to July 4th 1776 from ever becoming president.

Did she actually mean that those who signed the Declaration of Independence and participated in the drafting of the Constitution were not born in America? Benjamin Franklin was born in Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and James Madison were born in Virginia. John Adams was born in Massarichusetts. Surely she knows this. But maybe not.

George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison served as President of the United States. They had to have been born in America in order to qualify for the office.

This is junior high history stuff. Is America’s educational system so bad that the First Lady of the United States does not know that our founders were born in America? Or is it something else? Did anybody blink when she said it?

A Catholic Approach to the Problem of Immigration Reform

In a recent interview with the Daily Beast that focused on the “bigotry” and “xenophobia” of Americans who are opposed to amnesty for illegal immigrants, Boston archbishop Cardinal Sean O’Malley said, “Obviously, the fear is not rational, and I think we are dealing with it in an irrational way.”

So the argument is that if you believe in the rule of law, that laws should be obeyed and enforced you are being irrational. Does this go for all laws or just our immigration laws?

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced during a New York Times interview that the Holy Bible is the book that made her who she is today.

“If you had to name one book that made you who you are today, what would it be?” asked The New York Times, in a book review questionnaire.  ‘At the risk of appearing predictable, the Bible was and remains the biggest influence on my thinking,” Clinton said. “I was raised reading it, memorizing passages from it and being guided by it. I still find it a source of wisdom, comfort and encouragement,’ she added.  Clinton explained that she was a voracious book reader, naming off multiple writers who made an impact on her. ‘I’ve got a pile of books stacked on my night stand that I’m reading — or hoping to get to soon,’ she said.”

US Congressman did not tell Congress the 'good news' that non-Christians are 'going to Hell'

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) on Tuesday grilled a pastor who supports the separation of church and state, asking him why he did not share the "good news" that non-Christians were going to Hell. 

At a House Judiciary Committee hearing about religious freedom on Tuesday, Gohmert told the Rev. Barry Lynn, who serves as the executive director for Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, that the Founders of the country - and Franklin Roosevelt - had often mentioned religion in their writings.

Lynn pointed out that he had received the Medal of Freedom from the Roosevelt Institute for his work supporting the freedom to worship.

"But that wasn't awarded by Roosevelt himself?" Gohmert interrupted, before asking if the pastor understood that the "meaning" of being a Christian was to evangelize.

"Do you believe in sharing the good news that will keep people from going to Hell, consistent with Christian beliefs?" the Texas Republican wondered.

Lynn, however, disagreed with the congressman's "construction of what Hell is like or why one gets there."

"So, you do not believe somebody would go to Hell if they do not believe Jesus is the way, the truth, the life?" Gohmert pressed.

The pastor argued that people would not got to Hell for believing a "set of ideas."

"No, not a set of ideas. Either you believe as a Christian that Jesus is the way, the truth, or life or you don't," Gohmert shot back. "And there's nothing wrong in our country with that - there's no crime, there's no shame."

"Congressman, what I believe is not necessarily what I think ought to justify the creation of public policy for everybody," Lynn explained. "For the 2,000 different religions that exist in this country, the 25 million non-believers. I've never been offended, I've never been ashamed to share my belief. When I spoke recently at an American Atheists conference, it was clear from the very beginning, the first sentence that I was a Christian minister."

"So, the Christian belief as you see it is whatever you choose to think about Christ, whether or not you believe those words he said that nobody basically 'goes to heaven except through me,'" Gohmert concluded, ignoring the point about separation of church and state.

Note the article by David Edwards asked, "...him why he did not share the "good news" that non-Christians were going to Hell?" While Gohmert actual words were, "In your Christian beliefs do you believe in sharing the good news that will keep people from hell, consistent with a Christian belief?"

Changing the words which someone says something into what you want people to think what they said is intelligently dishonesty in its highest form, Edwards saw the video, and knew exactly what he said. I will link to his article in the first comment.

Well Obama took all of out troops out of Iraq, but then built the most expensive Embassy in the world, purt near a billion US Taxpayer's dollars. And now The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad is preparing contingency plans to evacuate its employees if necessary now that one of the deadliest Islamic militant groups in the region has taken control of large swaths of Iraq.

The TEA party can, as Mark Twain, say, ‘The report of my death was an exaggeration."

Well if you have been following Virginia politics at all you know by now, or will soon, that the reported death of the TEA party was as Mark Twain said, ‘The report of my death was an exaggeration." Not only is the TEA Party influence alive and well this election should put to sleep the canard that money buys elections. Cantor spent about $1 million in the seven weeks between April 1 and May 21 against David Brat, and had spent a total of $1.9 million on his reelection campaign, according to Federal Election Commission filings. The American Chemistry Council, also recently launched a $300,000 independent expenditure for television ads in support of Cantor.

Brat, on the other hand, has spent a mere $123,000 since January 1st. So, where is the evidence that money buys elections? I am sure that if you try you can bring to mind Steve Forbes presidential bids in 1996 and 2000, he had as much money as God, and could not win the nominee.

Tell me the truth, does the number of TV adds being run for a candidate determiner how you will vote, or is it the information they contain that helps you decide?

Man Made Ocean Acidification:

I have spent the morning education my self on ocean acidification, which I believe will the Alarmists will shift there attack on man made co2 as the warming that they have claimed to be caused by out increase in generating co2 fails to be materialized.

The argument will go like this: "Apparently the ocean is more acidic now than any time in the last 650,000 years. According to the Wikipedia entry on ocean acidification, the basic numbers are as follows: Between 1751 and 1994 surface ocean pH is estimated to have decreased from approximately 8.179 to 8.104, a change of −0.075 on the logarithmic pH scale which corresponds to an increase of 18.9% in H+ (acid) concentration. By the first decade of the 21st century however, the net change in ocean pH levels relative pre-industrial level was about -0.11, representing an increase of some 30% in “acidity” (ion concentration) in the world’s oceans."

One must ask just how they know what the ocean's pH was 650,000 was 650,000 years ago, as the concept of pH was first introduced by Danish chemist Søren Peder Lauritz Sørensen at the Carlsberg Laboratory in 1909 and revised to the modern pH in 1924 to accommodate definitions and measurements in terms of electrochemical cells. So the earliest measurements of any pH would be in 1924, and it is highly unlikely that they went imminently to check what the oceans' was.

They claim that an estimated 30–40% of the carbon dioxide released by humans into the atmosphere dissolves into oceans, rivers and lakes. My question to you is does this not undermine The contention that it is man's induced co2 into the atmosphere that is causing the world to heat up?

It is well know that 96.6% of the co2 put into the air is from natural causes such as volcanoes eruptions, vented from the earth by cracks, and by earthquakes. That leave 3.4% that man adds to the total, and if if 35% (I split the difference) of that 3.4% is going into the water that leaves only 2.21% of atmospheric co2 is put there by the means of men.

The argument is made that because the stop of any measured global warming , oops, climatic disruption, over 17 years ago it has remained at record highs with no predicable drop that the warming is just a pause and not a cessation. However that is true if you only consider the last few hundred years of temperature records but actually, the real unprecedented warming (and extreme climate change) happened well before the industrial age, here is the link to the Historical Temperatures - Charts/Graphs.

So, if the rise in temperature does not pan out for the Alarmists watch for the argument to shift from climatic disruption, to, "We have to save the oceans from our co2, stop using fossils fuel!"

It is not that I do not believe that they oceans are acidifying, as they well maybe, but I just do not accept that man's pidling 1.18% addition above what nature is adding all on its own is the cause of chance in the oceans pH/

She, as 90% of all the stories on the killings conveniently leaves out that he had started out by stabbing to death three men around 9:30pm on Friday night. Half of those he killed had been by knife, yet it is only guns that kill people, so the gun hating Progressives writing about his killings were loath to bring it up. The goal is to ban guns, so that is the narrative.

That is also the reason you will here little, if anything, about Prince Joshua Avitto, a 6 year old who was killed, and the 7-year-old Mikayla Capers who was lest fighting for her life after they both were stabbed in an elevator at the Boulevard Houses on Schenck Ave on Sunday. The two pals were getting an icy treat when the killer struck.  Of course not, but had they been shot it would be blasted from all the Networks.

Another thing that is sure to keep it off the airways, and that is the fact that the Cops said they were looking for a heavyset black man in his 30s, if the perp had been a white that had stabled these two black children you can bet your booties that it would have plaid for weeks, if not years, on prime time until he was caught and tried.

For the MSM to make a big deal out of a killing it must have been done with a gun, or a white on black killing. Black on black crime does not exist to their eyes, consider that at the same time Rogers’ was going berserk there was another shooter killing people in Myrtle Beach where three people were killed and two others were wounded, yet not a word on the MSM, why? It was a black on black killing, and while it involved a gun, there was no whites involved in the shootings.

And if you think that there are many more black on white crimes than white on black crimes you are just a racists. The Knockout Game is an urban myth, and blacks cannot comment a hate crime.
