Going to collage on a student
loan? Congratulation you have become or on your
way to being a wage slave to the guarantor of the loan. Who is the guarantor? Why Uncle Sam is, who else. He took over the student loan business in his
Affordable Care Act. Guess what else your
government has done to insure your slavery?
It has exempted student loan obligation from being discharged
in a bankruptcy proceedings. Graduate
with $50,000 of debt but have to move back in with mom and pop, and can only
get a job, if at all, at McDs or a carwash.
Too bad, the debt has to be paid, you owe your soul to your government debt!
You think you can ignore
it? They will take you to court; the court will
order you to pay. If you do not pay you
will be charged with contempt of court, arrested, and put in jail until you
start paying. No debtor imprisonment in
the US, yeah right. If the government
orders you to pay, you either pay or go to jail, resist and they will shoot you
if necessary to put you in jail. Don’t
believe me go ask all the imprisoned dads because of child support.
They deserve it you argue,
they are bad people for not supporting their children. I will leave out arguing how the system is so
stacked in favor of the mother, how they are coddled, supported, and treated
like queens for spreading their legs for every Tom, Dick, and Harry that turned
them on without making sure they were protected from getting pregnant. The point of this article is the growing
number of indebted wage slaves that the government is collecting under the guise
of making obtaining an education, which is to lead to the fulfillment of the
student every dream, easer to obtain by availing themselves to their easily
available loans.
While getting the loans is
easy getting a good education is not.
Many student dropout of school debt ridden before ever graduating, but
that does not relieve them of their obligations. Another consequence of these easily obtainable
government loans is the constant increases in tuition costs, which means that he
students must borrow more money thus increasing their obligation to the government.
If a person can afford to pay
for a degree in English Literature, then by all means that person should be
able to peruse their desire. However, if
a person who has to borrow from the government to go to school they should seriously
consider getting educated in a field in which they will be able to repay the
loan. There are a lot of fluff degrees
out there, easy to do the course work, easy to get high grades in, Education
and Sociology being two prime examples. But
just how many social workers do we really need, if you listen to the progressives
we all need them and a physiologist.
I read recently that student
loan debt has passed home credit card debt, and this headline in Bloomberg Bisinweek: “Student Debt Is Stifling Home
Sales” and gives this example, “Roshell
Schenck has a Ph.D. in pharmacy and earns $125,000 a year. Yet, because she has
more than $110,000 in student loan debt, counselors have told her she can’t
qualify for a mortgage. “I’d love to buy and can afford to buy,” says the
28-year-old graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pa.
With lenders scrutinizing college loans more closely than in previous years,
it’s almost impossible for borrowers such as Schenck to get approved for
mortgages. “My debt is crushing my chances of purchasing a home.”” I reckon that it is for a lot of folks as the student
load now is about 1 trillion dollars and growing.
