Gun Control By Mental Health

The State of California’s Armed Prohibited Persons System (APPS) has created an einsatzgruppe (German for "task forces) dedicated exclusively to gun confiscation. Using the state's gun registration lists, the APPS storm troopers, “arriving in SUVs and dressed in black tactical uniforms.  They regularly sweep through California cities” to seize firearms from people the state has designated “prohibited persons,” reports the Fresno Bee. A criminal conviction is not necessary for enrollment on the civilian disarmament register; all that is necessary is an official finding by the state’s Welfare bureaucracy that the gun owner is “a danger to himself or others.”  This is why the progressives have switched their emphasis from gun control to mental health.

In May of this year the California Senate approved a $24 million funding bill to expedite the process of collecting guns from owners in the state who legally acquired them but have since become disqualified due to felony convictions or mental illness. Leading to many results like this woman, Lynette Phillips of Upland, Calif., who had been in the hospital voluntarily for mental illness last year that she says that was due to medication she was taking.  She had purchased a gun years ago for her husband, David, as a present. That gun, as well as two others registered to her law-abiding husband (who does not have a history of felonies or mental illness), were seized in March 2013.

According to the state of California, “The prohibited person can’t have access to a firearm” regardless of who the registered owner is, so because his wife voluntarily put herself in the hospital for mental illness (presption drug use I assume) the husband had his legally aquired guns were seized by armed APPS agents, and is barred from owning any as long as he lives with his wife.  He has broken no laws, and did not need to have armed thugs coming to his home to take his guns away from him.

California is not the only state doing this, New York's AFE Act is billed as a necessary law to protect the public and keep guns out of the hands of the wrong people.  This law prevents anyone who has taken some psychotropic medications to be eligible for a pistol permit, and if they have one they have to surrender it.  A law-abiding, honest, hard working professional, who never had one wit of scandal associated with him, criminal or otherwise but ever use a  psychotropic and they will take your guns away.

Consider this:  One out of five college students are in the psychiatric pipeline.  In 2012, 21.2 percent of college students received a psychiatric diagnosis or were treated for mental health issues such as depression or eating disorders, and an estimated 6.6 percent of students reported having serious thoughts of suicide.  The concept called "mental disorder" is a sales pitch backed up by extraordinary PR, money, academic gibberish, and government-granted official status.  This not only makes the drug manufactures rich, it fits in the Progressives' plan to unarm as many of us  as possible.

After the recent mass killings in Aurora, Sandy Hook, Boston, and Washington, psychiatry is flying high. It's doubling down on its lies, and making a case, with its federal allies and media know-nothings, for more intervention, more diagnosis, more drugs, more "surveillance of early warning signs.  What they leave out when these stories are reported is what drug the shooters were being prescribed when they went berserk.  This website is a collection of 4,800+ news stories with the full media article available, mainly criminal in nature, that have appeared in the media (newspapers, TV, scientific journals)  or that were part of FDA testimony in either 1991, 2004 or 2006, in which antidepressants are mentioned.  Starting in March of 2012 there is a Website:  http://www.rxisk.org/  which will allow personal stories to appear in a different Website from SSRI Stories.

Remember the state can declare whomever it wishes mentally ill, this past October a Russian man who participated in an anti-Kremlin protest has been convicted of "calling for mass riots" and sent for forced psychiatric treatment.  The prosecution claimed that Kosenko used violence against policemen, but said a psychiatric examination found he "wasn't able to realize the public danger of his actions" due to a "chronic mental disorder."  The lesson, protest against the government and you are mentally ill.
