Be Dammed

You can fight fire with fire,

But you cannot

Stop a flood

With water.

So apply your lesson

Where the lesson apply,

And there in

Wisdom lies.

~

And there was a time

You thought

You knew it all,

Before the fall.

~

Back then you wanted it all,

Now you settle

For another day

To awake and say:

~

Good morning my Lord

Thank you for today

May I live it your way,

And be glad there in.

~

Dreams still cloud the way

Confusing reality

With desires

Keeping acceptance away.

~

But to accept

The unbearable,

Is to live in Hell,

As much as it is to

~

Accept a reality

That lies way outside

The dream in you heart,

So dammed if you do, and dammed if you don’t!
