A cold winter night
Is really a delight
With a warm fire
To admire
And a great dinner
Whose flavor
Yet lingers
With the succors
Of an old brandy
And shooting the blarney
With good friends
And no need to pretend.
When the larder is so full
That choosing is painful
And the wolf is so far away
You can ask a stranger to stay
A cold winter night
